Psychological Assessments
Dr. Thompson specializes in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment of all ages. She has experience with a wide variety of medical and psychiatric conditions including learning disorders, attention difficulties (ADHD), developmental disorders, epilepsy, neurodegenerative disease (e.g., dementia, Parkinson’s), and acquired brain injury (e.g., tumor, stroke, traumatic brain injury/concussion). She also has extensive experience with the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and behavioral difficulties.
She has worked with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, pediatric primary care, cardiac transplant units, burn and intensive care units, and various surgical teams. She completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA, conducting neuropsychological assessment, pre-surgical testing, and cognitive rehabilitation with military veterans and adults with various medical diagnoses. Her primary clinical and research interests are in neuroimaging and acquired brain injury.
Dr. Thompson enjoys creative writing, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two kids, and dogs.
